Profile & Biography

Nora Peyer is a SIA registered architect, who provides architectural services focusing on interiors and furniture design. Her studio is based in Zürich, Switzerland.

Born 1980 in Geneva, Nora grew up in Locarno, in the Italian part of Switzerland and studied architecture at the ETH Zürich and Columbia University NYC. After graduating with a Master’s Degree from ETH in 2005, Nora worked as project architect for G TECTS in New York City and Barkow Leibinger Architekten in Berlin for clients such as Issey Miyake, Barclays Bank, The City of New York, Daimler AG and Bayer AG.

Nora has taught at Columbia University’s School of Architecture and Urban Planning as assistant to Professor Gordon Kipping. In the early years of the start-up, Nora was curator to Architizer.com, a large resource for contemporary architecture online.
Since 2010, she has been working independently for various clients in Germany, in Switzerland as well as in NYC.

For her furniture series, Nora works with local small businesses and fabricators focusing on handcrafted methods. The design aims to be abstract, timeless, iconic and ironic!
